WHO WE ARE - TEAM

TEamwork makes… well we all know that quote but we belive it covers some truth.

After Coach Harro Schwuchow sadly passed in 2025 Head Coach Sixten Haak and javelin Olympic champion Thomas Röhler, two unique characters in the world of international javelin sat together to create a community based approach to modern javelin training. With passion and long term strategy the two formed a set up enabling a warm welcome for athletes and coaches from all across the world.

In daily business we are a team >5 athletes from ages 16 to elites. Additionally to that we help regional athletes with short term camps or single training opportunities in Jena. All hosted and facilitated by our home club LC Jena e.V. .

Thanks to a broad network of partners we are able to support our athletes in education organization, sports management and medical issues. We take modern elite sports as a 360 degree challenge.

For almost ten years, Jena has been a recognized place for javelin throwing.

location

Local training in Jena is designed for ambitious youth athletes, students and performance-driven throwers who are looking for structure, reliability and technical depth. Regardless of the current performance level, individual development always remains the central focus.

How we work

We do not work with standardized training plans.
Training content is built on analysis, experience and continuous exchange. Technique, athletic development and load management are closely connected and adapted to school, university or competition schedules.

Team & culture

A strong team culture is a key element of our daily work. Learning from each other, shared responsibility and an open training environment create the foundation for sustainable performance development.
